This blender delivers what it promises -- pulls down what's in the jar and mixes everything thoroughly. It is powerful, and gets the job done incredibly fast. I had a top-rated Kitchen Aid, and this put that to shame! I kept finding unmixed bits when I used that one. This Oster makes ALL the difference! I love it!

I absolutely LOVE this blender! It's great for making smoothies and or other frozen drinks using the "Frozen Drinks" button. The reverse motor is ingenious! I've even made snow cones for my kids using this blender. It shaves ice beautifully. And it's great for making FRESH salsa! This is a definite keeper. I've only had one other blender and it was also an Oster and the only brand I go to for such an appliance :)

I wanted a blander with a glass jar (trying to get rid of all the plastic and non-stick coating in the kitchen) and I don't regret buying this one. It does the job well, but I don't find the preset functions all that useful. To make my frozen fruit smoothies, I simply use the blend buttons, starting with low speed and finishing with the middle one. The preset function for frozen drinks is extremely loud, much louder than you would have expected. But the regular blending options are quiet and it takes very little time to whip up my smoothies. It also works great with pureeing soups. The jar is not as heavy as I thought it would be considering it is made out of glass. The blender looks quite and does not take up much room which is important if you have a small kitchen. I don't think it should cost as much as it does, but I still really like it and don't regret spending money on it!
